Meet Dr. Mitchell

Cheryl Mitchell, D.D.S.

Dr. Cheryl Mitchell grew up in Hadley, Michigan. From the time she was old enough to go to the dentist, she knew she wanted to be a dentist! Dr. Cheryl attended the University of Michigan-Flint and Lake Superior State University for her undergraduate studies. Throughout high school and college she had the opportunity to work at her mother's Montessori preschool as a teacher's aide, which fostered her love of children. After graduating from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry in 1998, she relocated to the Higgins Lake area.

In 2004 she married Roscommon native, Tim McCarthy. Together they share three children, all boys! They range in age from 4-8 years. The change of seasons provides a multitude of activities for the family. Summertime will find them boating on beautiful Higgins Lake, camping, or gardening. Snowshoeing, sledding, and riding snowmobiles are their favorite winter pastimes. Riding quads is fun any time of the year. Dr. Cheryl believes an active and healthy lifestyle is the key to maintaining fitness.

Dr. Cheryl is a member of the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association. Along with her staff, she attends many continuing education classes a year to give her patients the latest dentistry has to offer.
