Why It Matters

Detecting Oral Cancer Early

When found early, oral cancer patients have an 80 to 90% survival rate. Unfortunately, 40% of those diagnosed will die within five years because most cases are discovered as late-stage malignancies.

Oral cancer can frequently prosper without producing pain or symptoms, going undetected until it has already spread. Research shows it is increasingly found in younger patients due to exposure to HPV — not just the traditional risk factors of drinking and tobacco use.

The CDC recommends that all patients over the age of 17 be screened annually.

The Screening Process

Our oral cancer exam, combined with a regular visual examination, provides a comprehensive screening for patients at increased risk. The exam is painless and fast — and could help save your life.

We use technology proven successful in identifying soft tissue abnormalities, providing an additional layer of confidence in the screening process.
